Do You Know Your Cat’s Zodiac Sign?

If you know when your kitty was born, you can read a special kitty horoscope below. This document will give you some basic characteristics to look for in your cat. Let me know in the comments at the end of the post if the description fits.

Aries (Mar. 21 to Apr. 19)

General Characteristics: Prefers hunting to cuddling. Known for giving love bites.

The Aries cat is really into hunting. He is naturally aggressive and self-assured about his role as a cat. Because of his high Aries energy, he loves to stalk prey, and shows his love for you by bringing you fresh meat. (If it’s a small creature,

consider using for taco meat.)

Be sure to praise him, and don’t hurt his feelings. When he is not looking you can dispose of the “gift,” if you really don’t want to keep it. Reward the cat with some affection. Play with him, and perhaps you can wear him out enough so that he will sit on your lap and be cuddled for a while.

Taurus (Apr. 20 to May 20)

General Characteristics: Pleasure-seeking

The Taurus kitty needs to watch his weight, as he loves to eat. Mealtime is his favorite time of day. He is an opportunistic cat who will eat all you give him and ask for more. It is not even beneath him to beg for table scraps.

Once he is finally full, your Taurus cat will be ready to climb in your lap to receive the adulation he deserves. Those sweet purrs will set you up for more petting…he is a glutton for food and for affection.

Gemini (May 21 to Jun. 20)

General Characteristics: Talkative, active, curious and mischievous

The sign of twins will give you two kitties for the price of one. Your Gemini cat will have enough personality for two cats. This feline is quite the

communicator, letting you know what they want from you, and when they want it — right meow! He could want a meal, or someone to play with, or he might just be trying to get you out of bed in the morning. His language will be varied and suited to the circumstances.

These Geminis are very playful and curious. They like to get into mischief. Don’t be surprised if your Gemini steals shiny objects, like small pieces of jewelry. He might remove things from your purse, with an innocent look: “Oh, I just wanted to see this object up close. I was going to put it right back.”

Cancer (Jun. 21 to Jul. 22)

General Characteristics: Scairdy-Cat

Is your cat a scairdy-cat? Is he nervous in a disruptive environment? Cancer cats prefer a calm household. Loud

noises really bother them. If they have kittens, they are very protective of their family. You might find them under the bed or in the closet. However, Cancer cats are all very affectionate cats, and will appear at your side for loving regularly.

Leo (Jul 23 to Aug 22)

General Characteristics: Loving but demanding of attention

These kingly cats demand the most attention of any cats from all the zodiac signs. They are loving cats, but if you don’t give them the attention they

feel they deserve, they will let you know. After all, the Leo cat is royalty, and expects to be treated accordingly.

Lavish this cat with love and keep him spoiled with good toys and treats. But watch out — if you don’t fulfill your duties as attendant upon royalty, you will learn about it. He may find a way to get even, such as clawing the new sofa that he knows he isn’t to touch. Remember, your duty is to serve.

Virgo (Aug 23 to Sept 22)

General Characteristics: They expect the best

Do you have a finicky cat? He could be a Virgo. You will be kept busy trying to please this cat, and if you fail, your furry friend may bite and hiss his displeasure, to make sure you know he is mad. However, if you just keep to your kitty’s schedule, you should be fine. Buy him his favorite food, keep that litter box clean, fresh water in his bowl, and his food dishes clean. Your Virgo is a tidy cat. He is not a messy eater and he likes to groom his coat. If you like to keep things tidy, too, the Virgo is the cat for you.

Libra (Sept. 23 to Oct. 22)

General Characteristics: Pretty kitty

Your Libra kitty is most likely gorgeous, as he was born under the sign ruled by Venus, planet of beauty. The Libra kitty needs companionship,

as he loves to socialize. Get your Libra a Gemini for a feline friend, as they should be quite compatible. They can play together when you are gone.

If you plan on inviting company over, your Libra cat will serve as an affable host, and will love the extra attention from your guests.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 to Nov. 21)

General Characteristics: Temperamental

The dark, mysterious Scorpio cat is the one who is quite unpredictable. His relationships are intense, as this cat is high energy and vengeful. Don’t get caught petting another cat. Your Scorpio will be jealous.

Full of love one minute and quick to let you know he is angry the next, he can change moods quickly and you might not even know it. Secretive by nature, he might hide from you or steal something of yours and put it in a secret place. If you find a dead mouse in the back of the closet or if your keys are missing so you can’t leave home, look for a four-legged Scorpio culprit.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 to Dec. 21)

Sagittarius, an adventurous cat always looking for excitement.

It won’t matter to the cat that he puts himself in danger because of his adventures. He loves to roam and explore. You might want to build a safe outdoor enclosure to keep this cat safe at home.

He is also a bit reckless, and may leave a mess behind him. Watch for objects he knocks over, and don’t trip over the toys he leaves lying in your path.

 

Capricorn (Dec. 22 to Jan.19)

General Characteristics: Gives and expects devotion

The Capricorn kitty is shy and serious. He will be devoted to you, but expects the same devotion in return.

He is a goal achiever, so don’t stand in his way. He is determined to succeed. If you lock him out of your bedroom at night, for example, and he wants in, he will yell and scratch at the door until you give up and let him in. His persuasive manner has won again.

Aquarius (Jan. 20 to Feb. 18)

General Characteristics: Knows how to gather a following

The Aquarius kitty sports a combination of intelligence, independence, and eccentricity. These traits lead him into some unique adventures.

He can’t stand to be bored, so if you haven’t found ways to entertain him, watch out! His curiosity could lead him into trouble.

You might try teaching him tricks, such as fetching a catnip mouse that you throw for him, or jumping over your arms when joined in front of him. Cats can learn tricks quite well — you just have to make the reward something he desires.

Pisces (Feb. 19 to Mar.19)

General Characteristics: Imaginative

The Pisces cat is affectionate and happy. He usually exerts a calm and peaceful influence over the household. He isn’t as demanding of your attention, as he is involved with his own kitty world.

He sleeps a lot, and often dreams about successful hunts he has had. If you have a bad day, your Pisces cat may understand intuitively, and will give you sympathetic attention to help you feel better.
